Meet Our Artisans
Meet Our Artisans – The Heart of Bastar Arts
Preserving Heritage. Empowering Communities. Celebrating Bastar.
Behind every handcrafted product at Bastar Arts lies a story of skill, tradition, and resilience. Our artisans are not just creators – they are keepers of Bastar’s 4,000-year-old tribal heritage.
From Dhokra metalworkers shaping intricate figurines using the ancient lost-wax casting technique, to bamboo weavers, terracotta potters, jute and sisal craftswomen, and tribal jewelers who bring life to Bastar’s traditional designs – each artisan carries forward a legacy passed down through generations.
Who Are Our Artisans?
Our community includes:

Empowering Communities Through Craft
At Bastar Arts, we work directly with artisans, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and farmer collectives across Bastar. By ensuring fair wages, market access, and training, we help these communities sustain their crafts and improve their livelihoods.
When you buy from Bastar Arts, you don’t just shop – you support a family, a tradition, and a living heritage.
